Crystalline silica — what to know
The composite backing is made with a 0% crystalline silica formulation. The natural marble face contains naturally occurring crystalline silica. Crystalline silica identified in whole-panel testing is attributable to the natural marble layer, not the backing. The complete panel and the natural marble face are not described as silica-free. Cutting, grinding or drilling any natural stone product — including the marble face of this panel — requires wet-cutting methods, effective dust extraction and suitable PPE.
